Here are the most common types of rain gutters:

COPPER GUTTERS

Pros:

  • Beautiful
  • No need to match paint, it develops a patina over time
  • won’t rust
  • Seams and Joints welded together
  • Used on high end residences

Cons:

  • Expensive
  • May not match house style

STEEL GUTTERS

Pros:

  • Strong
  • Can be painted, leading to many color options
  • Heavy
  • You make like the aesthetic

Cons:

  • More expensive than Aluminum Gutters
  • Although it resists rust, it may start to rust at around 10 years

ALUMINUM GUTTERS

Pros:

  • Lightweight
  • Most commonly used material
  • Won’t rust
  • Comes in a variety of colors and can be painted!
  • Low in cost
  • Can be customized to be seamless, to fit perfectly on your home
  • Comes in two thickness (but we usually use the 0.32 gauge thickness)

Cons:

  • Can be dinged or dented from trees or ladders
  • Will need to be re-painted eventually
